Approaches to Learning
Problem solving is a skill that children begin to learn when they are very young. Children need time to experiment with materials, try new things, keep trying if it doesn’t work the first time, and to feel safe and supported in their learning and problem solving. Children at Immanuel Preschool take learning risks when they say good-bye to mom and dad on the first day of school, put their fingers into squishy finger paint, try a new food, or attempt to put one more block on their tower.
